Listen while I play (PLAY, Play, play, play....)

.....my Black Tambourieeeeennnnnnne. I love this stuff. You can almost hear old sweaters, sad faces and bubble gum snickers on this record. Kevin Shields' bastard little sister. Whatever that means. Oh, young people...

Story:

Thank you, the internet.

Pictures:

(no decent pictures except the f@#$%^g record cover, sorry)...

Strange Times indeed....

The next installation begins......wait for it......now. K, The Chameleons were also a big fave of mine. Much like Pulp, they didn't receive the recognition they deserved due to the Smiths being a few months ahead of them. And maybe a few shades of homo-eroticism ahead of them. Regardless, they were a great band. And this is my favorite great record from them.

The story goes here:

Don't ever put a "U.K." behind your band name ever again

And the picture goes here:

And the record goes here:

Sup Fools...

Soooo,

Here it is. Hobo Empire. A place where people can come, and enjoy the pop music of earth from 20 years ago, or so. 60's, 70's, 80's, whatever my hair looks like on any particular day could alter the course of this page. I'm gonna attempt to make the dialogue brief here. No one cares what I had for breakfast this morning, or what time I used the can. I probably can't remember either one anyway. This is a page dedicated to "hard to find" bubble gum stuff.

I figured I'd start with The Primitives. One of my favorites growing up, the Primitives were good for a few records, then basically dried up. More info here

Aaaaand since I'm new to this, I'm gonna f$#k around with putting pictures of them up:

Alright, that wasn't too hard. Anyway, here is their first and favorite full-length record. From me to you. Er, from them to you, actually....

The Primitives - Lovely

I'll be putting records up here and there and from time to time. Be back soon, and long live the Hobo Empire. Or whatever...
